CMP Clinic |

There will be no charge for the clinic this year. I am hoping to use the clinic as a means of attracting new shooters to the CMP Program. If you have friends or youngsters who may be interested in shooting military type high power rifles get them over to the clinic. There is no better opportunity to get them started. As far as juniors are concerned we have obtained a few AR15s and associated equipment for their use thanks to a grant received from the Friends of NRA and the NRA Foundation. Ammo is available for use by juniors, at cost. We would enjoy participation by ladies. I have been told there is a young lady that shoots at North Reading that shot one match in an evening gown and high heels and out shot most of the men. There is a reasonable probability that this is true as I heard it from more that one source. If you have a wife daughter or friend bring her down. She could end up outshooting you.
The class will consist of a little bit of history , basic, range and match safety, desired and required equipment, basic oversight of the three primary rifles used, shooting positions, range procedures, and if we have enough time dry firing exercises on the indoor range.
If we have enough attendance I plan on inviting a few of our more experienced shooters to come and participate as assistant instructors. Where participation in the program has been slight over the last year or two, I am going to ask for advance notice that you will attend. I will cancel the clinic if we do not have advance notification of at least five people attending. If we don’t have significantly more than five I will not invite our guest assistant instructors. If you have been competing for a while you might come down for a review of the basics. If we have enough people for guest instructors you might even get tips that might enhance even advanced capabilities. I am sending this notice to people who have not previously shot a match although they are experienced in other disciplines. I would enjoy having them join us.
If you have one of the firearms used in the matches (M1, M1A, and AR15) feel free to bring it with you, but no live ammo will be allowed in the clubhouse during the class.
If you plan on attending please notify me by phone or email, preferably by email on or before Wednesday 14 Apr. 2010. If I don’t have at least 5 advanced registrations by then I will cancel the clinic and notify, by Friday , those who have pre registered, that the class has been cancelled .

Tactical Practices/Survival Series will be held on the fourth Sunday of each month. Sessions are now broken up into two parts, Experienced shooters (those whom have participated in TP/SS sessions before) begin at 0800 until 1030.
INDOOR RANGE WILL BE CLOSED FOR THIS EVENT
